UPS Freight, a leader in the LTL trucking industry, is currently seeking a City Dispatcher to produce maximum profit while providing excellent service to the customer. This individual oversees and is directly involved in all phases of the pickup and delivery operation, including, but not limited to, customer service, productivity, quality freight handling, claims prevention, and safety.

This person will be responsible to:

• Achieve results by managing, organizing, and directing all CDL employees assigned to them.
• Schedule customer deliveries and pickup requests
• Prepare and implement action plans to ensure the service center achieves planned P&D productivity and service targets, while preventing bring-backs, missed pickups, and customer dissatisfaction.
• Manage and coordinate quality procedures including claims prevention, service, and customer interactions.
• Schedule employees in accordance with hours planning and service requirements
• Prepare and manage safety procedures and training within Company, OSHA, and DOT guidelines.
• Implement and manage security and loss prevention procedures

Previous dispatch and/or supervisory experience preferred.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• U.S. citizen or otherwise authorized to work in the U.S.
• High school diploma or equivalent

OTHER CRITERIA:
